Urgent and Emergency Care

Transforming Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) is our passion, and what we do best. UEC is complex, difficult, and high-profile, and getting it right really matters.

Our team has extensive experience in UEC, from working as clinicians and divisional directors in providers to running national UEC improvement teams and consulting internationally. We've delivered work from A&E process improvement through to whole system redesign.

Our Approach to Urgent and Emergency Care Transformation

Everything we do starts with people. It starts with understanding you—your culture, your staff, your challenges, and your opportunities. We'll use big data to identify themes and case reviews to understand the lived experience. We'll develop case studies and stories to engage your clinical and operational teams, identify cross-organisational opportunities, and identify gaps and areas of best practice.

We work across organisational boundaries, engaging and working with local authorities, acute hospitals, community providers, general practice, and the ambulance service.

We use a six-stage model to understand and transform UEC, from population demographics to decision-making and care delivery. Depending on the system's needs, pressures, and timeframes, we may focus on one or two phases or complete a whole system Discovery Phase.

All our consultancy work includes in-depth and specialist training for your teams to support the sustainability of changes
